Kemper Knoll Kamp

 

Kamp attendance is by advanced registration, confirmed on a first-come, first served basis. Brochures will be sent out to previous kamp attendees in March. Others may email ridekkf@aol.com or call 540-249-4004 for brochure and registration form. Registration must be accompanied by $100 deposit to confirm. Dates for 2012

Kamp 1 - Show and Horemanship Kamp
July 23 - 29
9 a.m. to 4:00 pm

Cost: $575 plus show fees

Enrollment limited to 12 students.

 This session is designed for the horse show enthusiast.  During Kamp we will attend two horse shows.
Students will learn the art of show grooming, including washing, clipping, selecting proper show tack and tack maintenance. Daily riding sessions will focus on technique, accuracy and dedication. Students will be assisted with class selection appropriate to experience level. Coaching and transportation to and from each horse show is included in the Kamp fee, but entry fees are extra and will be remitted to each show attended.
Kamp 3 - Mini-Kamp
August 1, 2, 3
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For Kampers ages 6 to 14 years

Cost: $225

Bring Lunch - snack and drink provided

Enrollment is limited to 12 students

This Kamp is for riders 6 to 14 years. Activities will center around horses, horse care and riding. Each day will feature riding, crafts, grooming, feeding and care. This Kamp is designed to introduce young people to the safe enjoyment of horses, with emphasis on cooperative learning and skill building.
